The FASTEST Way To Level Up After The Update in Far Far West

Alright, after the newest update they switched the leveling around — you're basically getting double XP now, but it takes two levels to unlock one upgrade slot instead of one-for-one. They also pushed some Jokers further out, making it actually worthwhile to hit level 100. Makes sense since weapon XP got doubled. Good update overall, but let's get into the fastest way to farm your hero and weapon XP.
The Setup
Before we start, make sure your character is set up like this:
- Double Glass Cannon — gives us an 80% damage increase on our weapon
- Speedy Gonzales — movement speed for efficiency
- Disgrace — make sure you're running this
- Whips and Drain — optional, swap if you need survivability
You can change things up if needed, but this is the optimal farming setup.
The Tutorial Method
Here's the trick. It's dead simple:
- Go to Canyon (or any Nightmare difficulty map — lower difficulties work too, but Nightmare gives the most XP)
- Start the mission, then immediately return to title screen
- Load up the Tutorial from the main menu
Once you're in the tutorial, check the map in the top right — it'll show Nightmare difficulty. That confirms it worked. You're now in a tutorial instance running at Nightmare XP rates.
The Invincibility Bug
Here's the best part — the tutorial is bugged (or maybe just coded wrong). While you're in it, you cannot die. You can take damage down to 1 HP, but nothing will kill you.
Important: Do NOT call your horse. Once you mount up, the invincibility stops. Just use your spells for movement instead — bunny hop across the ground.
Weapon Swap Trick
The tutorial gives you the default weapon, but you can switch to whatever you brought into the mission. Just use your scroll wheel and it'll swap to your actual loadout weapons.
The Speedrun Route
Here's how to blitz through:
- Talk to the NPC — hold F, then double-tap Escape to skip the dialogue instantly
- Pick up your weapon, scroll wheel to swap to your real guns
- Skip across to the boss area using spells for movement
- Shoot the boss to trigger the bell
- Hit the bell — this starts a 30-second timer
The Infinite Farm Spot
After hitting the bell, run back to where you started. There's a crossing point with ammo crates nearby. Here's the key:
- The ammo crate never despawns — shoot your gun, pick up ammo, repeat infinitely
- Cryptics keep spawning, so you can farm them endlessly
- You're still invincible (as long as you didn't mount the horse)
This spot is also great for completing kill challenges and leveling up specific weapons or spells.
Finishing the Run
When you're done farming, just walk to the train and extract. You'll get full Nightmare XP rewards:
- ~2,900 XP for your hero
- Solid weapon XP for whatever you were using
- All from a tutorial mission that takes a few minutes
Then just reset and do it again. Load mission, return to title, load tutorial, speedrun, farm, extract. Rinse and repeat.
