Complete Lever Edge build guide for Far Far West. Eagle Lever + Stack Lever combo, Sheriff Star speed hack, Glass Cannon Speedster setup, and the spell loadout that covers horde clear. Hit 500 damage per shot.

The Lever Edge — one of the lower-rated weapons by players all across Far Far West. Often disregarded due to its lack of horde-clearing potential, but it remains my favorite weapon in the game thanks to its marksmanship-style gameplay. This thing packs a ton of single-target damage. So much so, in fact, that with the build I'm about to show you, I was hitting up to 500 damage in a single shot when I landed headshots consistently. Trust me on this — the Lever Edge is fantastic, and this is probably the most fun build in the game.

Why Run a Lever Edge Build?

Most players sleep on the Lever Edge because it doesn't melt hordes the way a Minigun or Bow does. But that's missing the point. This is a precision weapon — you're trading AoE for raw single-target damage that one-shots almost everything in the game. With the right Jokers and upgrades, you become a sniper that can also fly around the map.

The only enemies you won't be one-shotting are:

  • Liches (about two shots)
  • Horsemen (around four shots)
  • Bosses (significantly more)

Everything else? Single tap, dead.

Lever Edge Upgrade Slots

If you have 26 upgrade slots (fully prestiged), here's how to build it.

If you haven't prestiged yet, run this distribution:

Slots Damage Fire Rate Notes
20 slots 40% 60% Max out fire rate first
26 slots Max damage Max fire rate Last 2 points → reload speed

The play is simple: pump fire rate until it caps, then everything else goes into damage. The last two points after maxing both go into reload speed — that's specifically what makes this build hum.

The Lever Edge Jokers

We're running both unique Jokers from the Lever Edge plus a damage legendary.

Eagle Lever (Unique)

Every shot you land grants 5% damage, stacking up to 10 shots — that's 50% bonus damage at full stacks. If you're hitting your shots, you are absolutely nuking everything in front of you.

Stack Lever (Unique)

Every kill returns 2 bullets to your magazine. Even though we're not great at clearing hordes, this gives us effectively infinite ammo because we one-shot every regular enemy. We get more bullets back than we use.

Speedster (Legendary)

Increases damage and fire rate. This is the cherry on top — combine it with the Eagle Lever stacks and you're putting absurd numbers on screen.

Final Joker Slot

Two choices that both work:

  • Swift Shot — extra fire rate (my pick)
  • Relentless — alternative if you prefer it

This one's preference. Run whichever feels better.

The Secondary: Sheriff Star (Speed Hack Build)

This is where the build gets spicy. The Sheriff Star isn't here for damage — it's a speed hack. You build it for movement, not for combat.

Sheriff Star Upgrades

Priority Upgrade
Required Pickup range — get those stars back
Required Draw speed
Optional Life steal, jump height (whatever you prefer)

Damage and fire rate? Skip them entirely. You'll never use the Sheriff Star to kill anything.

Sheriff Star Jokers

  • Jump Star — gives you a triple jump when the Sheriff Star is equipped
  • Running Guns (×5) — that's the magic. You get +150% movement speed while shooting
  • Relentless (or whatever you like) — flexible final slot

The combo here is wild. Every time you throw a Sheriff Star, you trigger Running Guns for about a second, which means you fly across the map at speeds the horse can't match.

You'll use this to:

  • Rotate between objectives quickly
  • Outrun hordes when overwhelmed
  • Get to extraction in seconds

It looks goofy, but it works.

Hero Upgrades — True Glass Cannon

We're building for Speedster + Glass Cannon synergy.

If you only have 20 upgrade slots, drop the points in jump height and the second-tier extras. Some players prefer cutting spell cooldown reduction instead — that's down to playstyle. But this is how I run it personally.

Hero Jokers

  • Glass Cannon — max damage, less defense (we don't care, things die before they hit us)
  • Speedy Gonzales × 2 — double up
  • One Disgrace — +50% movement speed baseline

Add it all together and your Speedster bar is constantly cooking.

Second Wind

We bring Second Wind as a safety net. Healing is harder on this build because we don't have Life Pact or Soul Siphon — we lean on bottles for sustain. But honestly? You deal so much damage that defense becomes irrelevant. I only needed Second Wind once the entire game (got caught in a sigil — my fault).

Spells — Press-and-Wipe Loadout

Three spells round out the build, all chosen to cover the Lever Edge's weakness (horde clear):

Thunder Strike

A press-and-wipe button. Press one button, wipe an entire horde. No notes.

Rain

Same concept as Thunder Strike. AoE clear when groups stack up.

Corruption

Sustained damage every 35 seconds. You can spam this constantly — perfect for elites and boss DPS rotation.

Honestly, in the game I recorded, I barely used Corruption because the Lever Edge was cooking so hard. But it's there when you need it.

How the Build Plays

The loop is simple:

  1. See enemy → headshot with Lever Edge → dead
  2. See group → throw Sheriff Star → reposition at 150% speed
  3. See horde → Thunder Strike or Rain → clear it
  4. See elite/boss → stack Eagle Lever buffs → unload

You'll be hitting numbers like this on regular shots:

Up to 500 damage per shot when you're consistently landing headshots. Nothing in the regular enemy pool survives that.

Tips for Surviving Without Sustain

Since we skip Life Pact and Soul Siphon:

Tip Why
Hoard bottles Pick up every healing/thunder bottle you see
Stay mobile Sheriff Star rotation makes you a moving target
One-shot priority Kill anything that can hit you before it gets close
Save Second Wind Use it only for sigil traps or unavoidable burst
Pick up regen Jokers If you see them in shops, grab them — bonus survivability

The trick is that this build kills enemies so fast you rarely take damage. Defense doesn't matter when nothing reaches you alive.

Final Game Numbers

After 35 minutes of play, the build delivered:

  • 26 weapon levels on the Lever Edge in a single game
  • 44,000+ damage on the biggest hits
  • One of the easiest runs I've recorded
  • A massive amount of fun

If you've been writing off the Lever Edge because it doesn't clear hordes, give this build a shot. It rewards good aim, makes you mobile as hell, and one-shots everything that isn't an elite. The skill ceiling is higher than the meta picks, but the payoff is genuinely some of the most satisfying gameplay in Far Far West.
