Far Far West splits its arsenal into primary weapons and sidearms. The gap between the meta picks and the rest of the roster is wide enough to decide whether a Nightmare run ends with a payout or a wipe.

Quick Recommendation
Run the Minigun or Shotgun as your primary, and the Dual Revolvers as your sidearm. That combo covers boss damage, wave clearing, and elite deletion in almost every contract.
How Weapons Are Categorized
Every loadout has two weapon slots:
- Primaries handle the bulk of damage output and dictate how each fight plays out
- Sidearms cover gaps the primary cannot — infinite ammo options, mobility tools, or burst finishers

How to Unlock Weapons
- Open the Saloon weapons manager and track the weapon you want
- Run missions — Fragments drop from bosses, Wishing Wells, Coyotes, and forge/anvil events
- Collect 6 Fragments to complete the blueprint
- Visit the Gunsmith in the Saloon and spend Gold to assemble the weapon (500 for primaries, 300 for secondaries)

How to Level Weapons Fast
Weapon XP is tied directly to damage dealt. The fastest path is to use the weapon on the highest difficulty you can consistently clear. Spend Gold at the Gunsmith to upgrade base stats, and slot Jokers as they unlock.
